Silvia Bivolaru is a London-based Argentine Tango teacher, performer, organiser and DJ with over ten years of dedicated study and more than eight years of teaching experience.

Silvia has developed her career primarily in London, whilst continuing to refine her dance and pedagogy through extensive training across Europe and three immersive study trips to Buenos Aires.

Her formation includes study with internationally respected maestros such as Chicho Frumboli & Juana Sepulveda, Loukas Balokas & Georgia Priskou, Esref Tekinalp & Vanessa Gauch, Haris Mihail & Natasha Lewinger, Gianpiero Galdi & Lorena Tarantino, Giselle Anne, Diana Cruz, Veronica Toumanova and Sofia Galanaki, among others.

These influences have shaped a teaching approach that balances precision, musicality, structure and creative expression.

Silvia is known for her highly structured and technical methodology. Her classes focus on biomechanics, anatomy and clarity of movement, using well designed exercises and drills to break down complex concepts into tangible, repeatable elements.

She places strong emphasis on movement quality and musical interpretation, guiding students to develop both technical confidence and emotional depth in their dance.

Whilst her lessons are focused and intellectually rigorous, they are delivered in a supportive and light-hearted atmosphere. Her approachable nature and sense of humour create a safe learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging in deeper discussion.

She has extensive experience teaching dancers at every stage of development:

Beyond teaching and performing, Silvia has played an active organisational role within the London tango community.

She has successfully run regular milongas, special workshops and curated tango weekends, contributing to the development and vibrancy of the local scene.

She is also an active tango DJ, regularly DJing in London and appearing as a guest DJ in Reading, Greece and Italy.

In London, Silvia is currently a regular teacher and core team member at Tango Fever, continuing to contribute to the community through structured, thoughtful and inspiring teaching.
